These terms govern your use of the Square Footage Estimator website, calculators, and related content (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Varyense and its affiliates. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Website usage

You may use the Service for lawful, personal, or internal business purposes. You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt servers, scrape the site in a way that degrades performance, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or use automated means that violate applicable law or our reasonable use expectations.

2. Accuracy disclaimer

The Service provides estimates for square footage, materials, paint, and illustrative costs. Results depend on the measurements and assumptions you enter. Real-world conditions—subfloor quality, product batch variation, local labor rates, building codes, and measurement error—can change outcomes. You are responsible for verifying all figures on site and with qualified professionals before purchasing materials or starting work.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varyense and its suppliers disclaim liability for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty US dollars, if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

4. No professional advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes architectural, engineering, legal, tax, insurance, or financial advice. Always consult licensed professionals where appropriate.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including text, graphics, logos, layout, software, and calculator logic (except where third-party components apply), is owned by Varyense or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer our materials except as allowed by law or with our prior written consent.

6. Third-party links

The Service may reference or link to third-party websites or resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Links do not imply endorsement.

7. Modifications to services and content

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including calculators and features, at any time without notice. We may also update these terms; the “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Varyense and its officers, directors, employees, and agents against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Varyense operates the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, except where prohibited by law.
